Mölleröds Kungsgård

Date: Friday 4 nov 2016 - Sunday 31 Dec 2017 Show map

Ruined castle with a main building and wings, a paved courtyard and a surrounding moat. The estate can trace its history back to the 1500s.

In 1580 a fortress was built on this site, and King Christian IV of Denmark used to stop over here on his journeys to and from Kristianstad before the place was razed to the ground by the Danes in 1678. Close by is Mölleröd Farm, whose seventeenth-century out-buildings are now protected architectural monuments.

How to get there: From Hässleholm follow Road 24 to Finja, after the road leading off to Finja go under the railway viaduct and turn left into Garnisonsvägen.
