Magle Wetlands

Date: Friday 4 nov 2016 - Sunday 31 Dec 2017 Show map

The Magle wetlands were created to reduce the flow of nitrogen and phosphates into Finjasjön but have also proven to be an eldorado for birdwatchers, flower enthusiasts and Sunday strollers. The easily accessible walking trails make for a beautiful and convenient ramble.

Whether you're a dedicated birdwatcher or not you can enjoy the rich variety of bird life, as you walk or from our bird tower. Over 185 species of bird have been spotted in the wetlands including many varieties of waterfowl. Among the notable nesting birds are the red-necked grebe, little grebe, tufted duck, goldeneye, coot and gull.
