An extensive collection of old domestic utensils, textiles, furniture etc. Exhibition about the province of Skåne, musical instruments and much more.

The museum boasts an extensive collection, most of which has been put together by the founder of the local history society (and, incidentally, of the local daily newspaper, Norra Skåne), namely Mr P A Persson.

The ground floor contains a large selection of old domestic utensils, textiles, midwifery instruments, furniture etc. One room on the floor above is devoted to a permanent exhibition about the province of Skåne, with exhibits from the Ice Age to the Middle Ages.

The museum also has a collection of musical instruments and small rooms furnished as workshops for carpenters, cobblers, clog-makers and blacksmiths.

There are also several interesting old buildings in the local history park. Guided tours of the rectory (Sörby prästgård) and the Winbergska House can be arranged for groups.

The Local History Society can also arrange conducted tours of the Hässleholm file factory (a museum that records local working life) and of the ruins at Skeingeborg, a unique octagonal-shaped stronghold from the early Middle Ages.

Coffee shop in the park.
